TEXA Gandhinagar collaborated with some of the parents of St. Xavier's School Gandhinagar to conduct a free medical camp on the 12th January 2014. The camp was held for the first time ever and over 14 doctors who run private practices come together to conduct a free medical camp. There were two ENT specialist, a Physician, a Gynecologist, an Ophthalmologist (eye-specialist), a Skin specialist, a Dietician etc. The icing on the cake was the free distribution of medicines sponsored by a local pharmacy.
The camp was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Rajnikant Patel, The Minister of State for Home Affairs, Govt. of Gujarat. Others who attended the inauguration were Rev. Guruma from a local ashram, Editor of the Gandhinagar Samachar Shri Krushnakant Jha and a number of other dignitaries. The camp was held at St. Xavier's School premises in Gandhinagar and TEXA took up the administrative part of registering the patients and guiding them to the various doctors and taking care of all aspects to make this a highly successful program.
